Description

White Canoe was inspired by the poem written by Irish poet Thomas Moore in 1803. The poem, “The Lake of the Dismal Swamp” the poem is based on local lore about an Indian maid who died just before her wedding and who is periodically seen padding her ghostly white canoe across the waters of Lake Drummond.
